Welcoming Lucas Vogelsang as Venture Partner

Lucas is a Venture Partner at Blockchain Capital.

He is the co-founder and CTO of Tare, a consumer lending startup he started in 2025. He is also co-founder of Centrifuge, the institutional ecosystem for on-chain credit, which in 2020 became the first DeFi protocol to bring Real-World Assets (RWA) on-chain, later facilitating the first institutional grade RWA transaction with Sky (formerly MakerDAO) and BlockTower Credit, tokenizing $220M in private credit in 2023.

Lucas has led engineering at many startups including CTO & Co-Founder at DeinDeal, a Groupon competitor acquired in 2011, and an early engineer at Taulia, a supply chain finance fintech acquired by SAP in 2022. Lucas is pioneering the tokenization of real-world assets and on-chain capital markets, unlocking a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity for the DeFi ecosystem.
