Bart and Brad start mining Bitcoin.

2013

We participate in the world’s first ICO for Mastercoin.

Bart and Brad create Blockchain Capital, previously known as Crypto Currency Partners.

2014

We raise the first crypto fund ever of $1M.

We raise our second $12M fund.

2014

Gavin Wood, the technical founder of Ethereum, pitches Brad Ethereum in his living room.

2016

We fund Parity, the first venture investment in the Ethereum ecosystem.

2017

We launch the first tokenized fund of $10M and create the first security token (BCAP).

We launch fund IV of $150M, our first institutional fund.

2019

We lead the series A of Bison Trails, later acquired by Coinbase, prior to its IPO, which becomes the largest ever M&A crypto exit.

2021

Our portfolio company, Coinbase, becomes the first crypto company to go public.

2021

We raise our fifth fund of $300M.

2023

We raise our sixth early-stage fund and our first Opportunity fund, totaling $580M.
